About The International Development Fellows Program of Catholic Relief Services (CRS)
The International Development Fellows Program of Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is designed to equip passionate individuals with the necessary tools to embark on a career in international relief and development work. Through this program, CRS empowers Fellows to refine their skills and acquire hands-on field experience, all while making meaningful contributions to impactful projects.
Working closely with experienced CRS staff, each Fellow tackles crucial challenges encountered by developing nations. CRS warmly welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds who share a deep commitment to our agency’s mission and strategy, inviting them to become part of our global team.

Typical Fellowship Responsibilities
- Spearheading the implementation of new emergency response initiatives.
- Acting as interim project managers, ensuring smooth operations.
- Contributing to the design of innovative projects.
- Overseeing assessments and data collection efforts.
- Developing accountability frameworks to measure progress.
- Crafting reports and proposals to communicate project outcomes and secure funding.

Minimum Fellowship Criteria
- Possession of a postgraduate degree in a relevant field
- Demonstrated work or volunteer experience of at least six months in a developing country
- Proficiency in spoken and written English with excellent communication skills
- Professional-level competency in a second language (priority given to French, Arabic, and Portuguese)
- Readiness to work in locations where tropical and infectious diseases are prevalent and access to medical facilities may be limited.
Selection Process & Timeline
The application period for the IDFP concluded on November 30, 2022. After careful evaluation, the most promising candidates will be invited to participate in a video interview, language test, and final interview. For further details.
